ABOUT IVY:
We started out with a mission: to provide students with an all-inclusive education that was engaging, fulfilling, and positive. We wanted to show students that learning goes beyond the classroom and their textbooks. We are results-driven, but process-oriented. Here, curiosity is encouraged and confidence is nurtured.
We help students reach their full potential by providing them with the resources and guidance they need to succeed. The road to success is different for every student, so we offer individualized guidance and support.
OUR DIRECTORS
ELISSA L, MBA
Founder and Managing Director
Elissa is a Los Angeles native with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minors in Educational Studies and Applied Psychology. After graduating at the age of 20, she went on to get her MBA at USC (University of Southern California), graduating with distinctions as the youngest MBA in her graduating class.

Her business mindset and background in Psychology creates a results-driven yet process-oriented learning environment for students.
TT, MEd
Co-Founder and Academic Director
TT, short for Teacher Teacher, was given that pseudonym by her students. Trained at an Ivy League, she has a MEd (Master’s of Education) Degree in English Instruction from Columbia University and a passion for helping students discover a curiosity for learning. Her teaching style involves a lot of laughter and fun learning activities.

TT has over ten years of teaching experience, most recently teaching at Stuyvesant High School in the city of New York before coming to Ivy Education.

ALLAN H, MAT
Senior Instructor
Allan Han received his masters degree in English Instruction at NYU. He is a writer and educator with over six years of teaching experience in K-12 students fundamental English, fundamental Math, SAT writing, and high school literature.
DEREK L, MD
Director, College Advisor
Derek graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Bioengineering and matriculated at USC Keck for his Medical Doctor Degree. Now a surgeon at UCI, he helps students achieve their STEM career dreams through college planning and advising.
SABRINA Y, MEd
Instructor
Sabrina graduated with her master's degree in Education from UPenn (University of Pennsylvania) with a focus on elementary and urban education. She teaches English and Math at Ivy.
ASHLEY Z, MEd
Instructor
Ashley received her Master’s Degree in Education from Columbia University in the city of New York. She specializes in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). She teaches English and Math at Ivy.

Instructor
Anita graduated from University of California, Davis and specializes in teaching K-5 grade levels. She has been teaching at Ivy for 3 years.
JEFFREY W, MPH
College Advisor
Jeffrey Wang graduated from UCSB before matriculating at Boston University for a Masters in Biology. He is currently a DO candidate.
SETH MARSHALL
Instructor
Seth Marshall is a masters degree candidate at USC after graduating with a bachelor's degree in history. He teaches English at Ivy.
ADRIENNE Y
Teacher's Assistant
Adrienne graduated from UCLA with her bachelor's in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Computing. She is a TA at Ivy, and oversees students' homework.
KATHY S
Instructor
Kathy graduated from the University of California, San Diego as a Provost Honors Student with a Bachelor's degree in International Business and minor in Chinese. She teachers Math at Ivy.
HEMING Y
Teacher's Assistant
Heming graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science. He is a TA at Ivy, and helps students with their homework and assignments.

College Advisor
Alex graduated from Columbia University as a Fulbright scholar and got his Master's degree in Education. He is a college advisor at Ivy, specializing in humanities major applicants.
